Researcher and PI Training

The SLAC Policy on the Conduct of Research establishes training requirements for all SLAC researchers. These courses are mandatory for all SLAC researchers or anyone who could be listed as a SLAC scientific publications author. Examples: Grad Students, Post Docs, Research Associates, and all scientists ranging from Associate Staff to Distinguished Staff, Faculty and any engineer or technical staff who are part of a research team with aims to publish.

All researchers must complete CRO101, CRO102, CRO103 and RPTC01, assigned by their manager/host. The requirement to complete will be included the SLAC Training Assessment (STA) and reviewed as part of the performance appraisal process.

SLAC's training is compliant with Research Security Training requirements from the SEC. 10634(b) of 42 USC 19234 (derived from the CHIPS and Science Act), these courses must be completed annually. These courses complement Cyber Security Training for Employees (CS200) and Travel Card Training (TCT101).
